We love it when our residents, family, and friends share their experiences with us.
If you'd like to send us a note please contact us here.

We would like to express our thanks to the RN's, LVN's, CNA's, Therapists, administrative/office staff, dietary and recreational staff, as well as the maintenance and cleaning crews. You have a very well run facility and everyone works as an efficient team. They all seems to enjoy working with the patients.

We highly recommend your rehabilitation and care facility. Allowing family and friends to visit at various hours of the day helps boost patient morale. When your parking lot was full, I was very appreciative that you validated parking at the underground lot next door, even though I only used it a few times during the 40 days Ron was your patient.

Ron is very glad to be home after a six week absence. He did appreciate that he was able to come home for brief visits twice a week, between the morning and afternoon infusions. I was also able to drive him to doctor appointments, and it was nice to have his medical papers ready to deliver to the doctors office. I feel that Ron's time at the Californian greatly assisted in his recovery.

I was a resident in your facility for fifteen days in early April of this year and would like to thank you and your associates for making the stay a pleasant one. Being 88 years old, in the course of years visiting family and friends, I’ve been in more facilities than I care to remember. Yours was outstanding for three reasons:

1. It didn’t smell, most facilities have an odor I’d rather not attempt to describe.
2. People were smiling, they had a sense of humor, they kidded back. ... The similes and kidding in no way interfered with the professionalism they continually exhibited.
3. The food was very good for an institution. ... congratulations on your food quality.

I enjoyed my stay, I don’t want to come back, but if I do I hope it’s yours that I return to.

Dear Everyone in “The Californian-Pasadena”,

On behalf of my husband William K., we would like to send our hearty thanks for your angelic services to my husband.  I’ve been witnessing everyday since February 4, 2016.  You’re all indeed ANGELS, we’re very touched by your patience, dedication and hard work.  For the first time in 62 days, I have to leave my husband for 8 days to do my own work in Boston, I won’t be able to see you.  But I have to say that I’ve learned so much from you for the humanitarian spirit.  Both my husband and I are composers, I’m working on a work entitled “A Halo with Angle Wings” inspired by my husband’s apparatus and your service.

Thank you so much for your TENDER, LOVE AND CARE!

I was admitted with diagnosis of left knee replacement. I thank you greatly for the appreciated care I received. Blessed I am to be able to stay at your beautiful facility. One of my visitors described it best. I was at a 4-star resort. Viewing the scenic rooms and gardens, I felt like a V.I.P.

In comparison to other convalescent hospitals, I was grateful and blessed. I thank both my doctors Dr. Marilyn Moore and Doctor Paul Gilbert for admitting me there.

The nursing staff was friendly, attentive, and supportive. I am progressing well. Outpatient physical therapy will begin first week next month. Again, thank you.

Here is just a little something to show our appreciation for everything that you do everyday. We realize that your job is difficult, requires much patience, and a certain love for the elderly.

This has been one of the hardest times of our lives to have our mom, my dad’s wife, and my children’s grandmother, placed in a nursing facility to get stronger before she comes home. For those of you who don’t know, my parents have been married for 62 years. They are each other’s world. My dad is battling metastic melanoma while he has cared for his wife daily before her being hospitalized. His love and devotion to my mom is amazing.

It always gives us piece of mind to know that someone is watching over my mom when we are unable to be there. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to wash her, brush her teeth, help her with eating, and respecting her as an individual.  …we appreciate all that you do!
